Dear Families, 

THANK YOU for helping to make our Jump Rope for Heart program an incredible success!  We are glad to report that we raised $9,855.00 this year. Inches away from our goal of last year's $10,000.00. We couldn't have done it without our kids, families, and teachers support! We anticipate "thank you" gifts from the American Heart Association to arrive at UES between the end of April and early May. THANK YOU FOR BEING HEART HEROES!

Did you know heart diseases and stroke are the #1 and #4 killers in America today?  They account as for many deaths as all other causes combined.  Every day, 2,500 people in America have a heart attack and 2,100 people suffer a stroke. Every year 36,000 children are born with a heart defect. Jump Rope for Heart donations are essential to the development of lifesaving research.

UES Physical Education is once again proud to partner with the American Heart Association to teach kids jump rope skills at an early age to get kids to be moving for life! Our fundraising donations teaches kids community service and helping kids with special hearts!  Way to go UES OWLS!
